The Regional Brain Bee is the first round in an international competition for high school students in grades 9 to 12 testing their knowledge in the field of neuroscience. All questions are derived from the book Brain Facts, published by the Society of Neuroscience and can be downloaded for free at: http://www.brainfacts.org/about-neuroscience/brain-facts-book/ The competition involves Regional Brain Bees held throughout the United States and the world in January and February. Regional winners from the United States travel to Maryland to compete in the National Brain Bee scheduled in March 2014.
